Job Description:
Plans, organizes, and manages the operation of the Avita Billing Department. Will supervise the preparing of claims and ensures revenue maximization from Medicaid, Medicare, other third party payers, individual client payments, and posting related cash receipts. Oversees the collection, compilation, and analysis of billing information on payee by payee basis. Resolves critical and complex billing and accounts receivable issues. Assesses the efficiency of billing services and develops and implements needed process improvements and operational changes. Manages quality assurance initiatives. Works closely with data administration. Participates in or oversees staff's participation in special projects.


Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:

*Two years experience supervising staff responsible for billing, budget or accounting activities. OR Three years experience performing billing functions.
*Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be highly proficient in Excel, and Word.
*Proven Revenue Maximization experience
*Good research and problem solving skills
*Experience with claims resolution/research and problem solving with plan payers such as State Contracted Services, Medicaid Rehab, Medicare,VA Services and CMO Medicaid (i.e. Magellan, Amerigroup, Centipatico)
*Knowledge Carelogic electronic patient record systems a plus
