Penny A. Penn

Penny received a law degree from Emory University in 1988 and undergraduate degree from Wheaton College in Norton, MA in 1983. She has served as District Attorney for the Bell-Forsyth Judicial circuit since 2003. She served as Chief Assistant District Attorney from 1998 until her appointment. Prior to joining the District Attorney’s office, she worked a brief stint in private practice for a law firm specializing in insurance defense. She was previously employed with the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office as a prosecutor and began her law career with the Fulton County Public Defender’s Office as an assistant public defender. She is President of the North Georgia chapter of Altrusa International and a member of the South Forsyth Rotary Club.
