Joe Hirsch

Representing Dawson County

Joe earned a BBA at St. Johns University and was awarded a CPCU designation by the American Institute of Property and Casualty Underwriters, Inc. Joe has been Southeast Regional Manager for Great American Insurance Co. and has worked as a Corporate Risk Manager for Rollins, Inc. He retired from Marsh & McClennan, Insurance broker, as a consultant and account manager.

Joe has been an active volunteer for over 25 years in several mental health programs such as the Mental Health Association of Metropolitan Atlanta for 6 years; Board member of the Mental Health Association of Georgia for 5 years and Board member of the Peachtree-Parkwood Hospital for 2 years.

Joe's community involvement includes being a member of the International Association of Lions Clubs for 33 years, serving in many positions including District Governor; Legacy Link Inc. Board member for 8 years, serving two terms as Chairman; Dawson County Adult Literacy Council Board member and Treasurer and Instructor in the GED and ESL programs. He has been a Court Appointed Special Advocate and Guardian Ad Litum for abused and neglected children in the Hall/Dawson Counties Juvenile Court for 10 years.
