On February 27, 2014 Avita Community Partners opened a “Crisis and Respite Apartment Units” in Gainesville, Georgia.
Crisis and Respite Apartment units are a short-term apartment housing for individuals returning to the community from a Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU), psychiatric inpatient facility, jail and/or prison and preventing the individual from returning to a CSU, psychiatric inpatient facility, or observation unit.
Services provided at the Crisis and Respite Apartment is to assist the individual with choosing and securing permanent housing, community services and resources needed to support a level of independent living.
The Crisis and Respite Apartment Units are fully furnished, with a one bedroom unit and a two bedroom unit, which can house up to three individuals. These apartments are located in Gainesville, Georgia near the public transportation bus route.
Clients will receive a range of assistance from train staff in assessment, treatment, and transition planning services as well as, access to an on-call staff 24/7 for crisis invention services, by phone or face-to-face.
